Kim Kaskiw is an accomplished musician, jazz vocalist, and composer of jazz and Latin jazz music. She is a trained and experienced singer - and professional tuba player. Vocally, she has extensive experience singing jazz, latin music, R & B, pop, and classical and modern choral music.
Always singing from the heart, she performs regularly with the Kim Kaskiw Sextet, an Ottawa-based jazz band. Using her lush three-octave voice, her expressive singing will have you mining the depths of emotion. Her group is available to perform at weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, parties for reasonable rates.
Kim’s group performed to great acclaim on April 14, 2012 at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre.
She will sing and play tuba in an April 2022 performance of Jesus Christ Superstar in Ottawa.
Unable to stay out of the spotlight for long, Kim performs with other groups. She was delighted to share the stage with accomplished R&B singer and former student Jeff Rogers and The All Day Daddies on the Main Stage at 2012's Ottawa Bluesfest.
Kim is a member of the American Federation of Musicians.
