An experienced professional voice coach
Kim Kaskiw has been offering private voice coaching since 1985.
In 2022, she was named Best Music/Drama Coach in Ottawa, by the 2022 Ottawa Awards.
She has studied speech pathology with an otolaryngologist, and attended master classes on vocal fold pathology and the singing voice with Dr. Robert Thayer Sataloff (MD, DMA). Kim has been a guest lecturer in Speech Pathology at the University of Ottawa, and has been a member of the Faculty of Music Performance at Carleton University since 1993. To remain at the cutting edge of vocal health instruction, Kim is a longstanding member of The Canadian Voice Care Foundation.

Kim has taught hundreds of teachers, politicians and others experiencing voice challenges. As a singing instructor, she has coached several singers who have gone on to win Juno and Maple Blues Awards.
Bringing her own experience in performing into her classes, her coaching sessions are both informative and fun.
Kim regularly puts her expressive mezzo-soprano voice through its paces with the Kim Kaskiw Sextet, an Ottawa-based jazz ensemble. She has extensive experience singing jazz, latin music, R&B, pop, and classical and modern choral music.
